Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce the addition of USEF Elite Youth Dressage Training Sessions in the Fall of 2012 and Spring of 2013. These sessions will be led by USEF Youth Coach Jeremy Steinberg and will be a unique opportunity for up and coming youth athletes to hone their riding and horsemanship skills. These training sessions have been made possible through a generous donation from Kristen McDonald and the Marquis George MacDonald Foundation.

The training sessions will be by invitation only and will include two mounted sessions for each individual as well as group lecture and discussion sessions which will focus on media training, long term strategic planning, and horse management. The dates and locations of these sessions will be based on population surveys from the NAJYRC and USEF Festival of Champions Junior and Young Rider entrants in an effort to provide convenient opportunities for growth amongst the top U.S. dressage youth.

"I'm excited that the Marquis George MacDonald Foundation has given so generously in support of the youth riders in the U.S.," said Steinberg. "Everyone involved with the youth in this country understands that these riders are the next generation of high performance riders who will be representing the U.S. in international competition in years to come. Their training will shape our future medal chances and opportunities like this are invaluable to making that happen. It's exciting that we will be able to create a system of USEF training sessions for our youth riders that follow in the footsteps of the high performance training sessions."
